Description |
Rhizome shortly creeping, ± 5 cm in diameter. Fronds monomorphic, laxly tufted or shortly spaced, 1.1–2.5 m tall, gemmiferous. Stipe 30–80 cm long, straw-coloured. Lamina pinnate, ± oblong in outline, the lower pinnae not reduced, the upper segment resembling the pinnae and with a gemma at its base, 0.6–1.1 x 13–40 cm; pinnae linear-oblong in outline, apex narrowly tapering to a point, base truncate or rounded, margin scalloped, 15–23 x 2.5–3.5 cm ; lobes up to 4 x 6 mm; veins 8 with 4–5 anastomosing with zigzag excurrent vein; rhachis and sometimes costa shortly hairy above, glabrous or minutely hairy beneath. Indusium absent. |
